ANSELM REYLE

ART:
Anselm Reyle’s super-snazzy, super-shiny sculptures and wall works provide a surprise visit to the olden aesthetic of 2006, when stuff like this ruled art fairs and auctions. Yes, it’s market-driven merch, but it also provides big optical hits of pizzazz and harnessed ambition, with substantial stretches of wow time. I can’t not enjoy it— and I also can’t stop imagining the art-storage facilities where a lot of art like this is headed. Don’t miss it before it all lands in someone’s basement. — Jerry Saltz NYMAG
