This might be the grooviest thing the Whitney's done since its Summer of Love show in '07. Christian Marclay: Festival looks even more promising to us, as it involves daily live performances and ongoing guest interaction. Marclay himself is celebrated for his audio/visual mash-ups and experiments, looking for new forms of synesthesia as he turns sound into physical specimens like video and sculpture, and vice versa. Check the schedule for featured performances by avant-garde and no-wave heavy-hitters like Ikue Mori, Elliiott Sharp, Lee Ranaldo (founding member of Sonic Youth), Christopher McIntyre, and (many) more. - Leah Taylor
