Photographer Thompson began working with the portraitist Walker Evans just a few years before the master’s death, during which Evans infused a huge amount of his own photographic DNA into Thompson’s. Editions Fawbush is a print & multiples publisher based in New York, and has been active since 1997. Fawbush projects are represented in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art, NY; the Whitney Museum of American Art, NY; the Detroit Institute of Arts, MI; the Cleveland Museum of Art, OH; the Brooklyn Museum, NY; the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, CA and the New York Public Library, NY, among others. Works have been included in museum exhibitions internationally since 1998, and a survey exhibition of complete publications is in development.
